All foundations are drilled to a minimum depth of 48 inches and posts are set plumb and straight in cement which we raise to the surface. This foundation is critical to our structures’ success and it provides the foundation that will support your surface structure through our sometimes harsh winters.

The Arrow Standard Fence – Built to Last
Arrow Standard Fence is built with durability and craftsmanship at its core. We use 5x5x10 Sienna pressure-treated posts, each precisely set plum and level in 10-inch augered holes drilled to approximately 48 inches deep—well below the frost line for long-term stability. Every post is centered and anchored with 8 inches of premium fence and post cement at the bottom, sealing it from groundwater and preventing rot caused by the water table. Three bags of fence and post are used in each hole and the cement is brought to just below ground level to ensure the post is fully protected from soil exposure.
Each fence section is framed using three 2x4x8 horizontal rails, fastened to the posts with heavy-duty Simpson fence brackets. The top rail is carefully mitered, fitted with a rubber mallet, and secured using countersunk 3-inch screws, providing added strength and a clean, professional look. A 2×4 capping rail is added for structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. Fence boards are then fastened securely to the exterior framing using corrosion-resistant screws—never nails—for maximum hold and longevity. Finally, each post is topped with a sleek black Nuvo metal cap, delivering a refined finish to a fence that’s built to outperform and outlast the rest.

Arrow Standard Steel offers unmatched strength, longevity, and resilience. This fence is virtually indestructible and is installed on either 4 by 4 or 5 by 5 Atlas Steel posts. These posts are primed and painted upon installation and installed to a minimum depth of 48 inches in a 10 inch augered hole. At the base, we pour 8–12 inches of high-strength fence and post cement to cap the bottom of each post and prevent any moisture or water entering the posts. Subsequently we surround each post with cement that rises to just below grade, to fully encase the post and keep it protected from the soil.
All the posts are framed with three 2×4 horizontal Sienna pressure-treated rails, which are secured to each post with metal self tapping screws and Simpson fence brackets. A 2 by 4 capping rail is mitered to exact length and hammered into position with a rubber mallet to provide a straight and clean finish. All fence boards are installed on the exterior side and fastened using high-quality exterior screws—no nails—ensuring long-lasting structural integrity. The result is a clean, professional-grade fence system that combines the strength of steel with the timeless look of wood—engineered to stand strong for decades.
The Arrow Standard Gate – Precision-Built for Lasting Performance
At Arrow Post Holes, our gates are built to a higher standard—crafted to function as smoothly and reliably as a well-fitted door. Each gate is installed using three 8-inch heavy-duty black triangle hinges, lag-bolted with 1.5-inch lag bolts to ensure a rock-solid connection that won’t shift or sag over time. To further maintain alignment, a 2x6x10 double-sided overhead header is anchored from post to post, locking the gate posts in place and preventing any movement caused by seasonal ground shifts or repeated use.
Every gate comes equipped with a durable pull-through cord for convenient access from both sides and a high-quality heavy-duty gate latch that secures firmly every time.
